Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Parlay Pals (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a group-parlay organizing tool. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Parlay Pals is not a registered company or legal entity - it’s an independently operated site. Nothing here changes what data we actually collect or how we handle it.
Information We Collect
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash - we never see or store your plain-text password). If you sign up with a magic link instead of a password, we collect only your email address.
Guest access. If a team owner invites you without an account, we identify you by the name and email you provide when you join, and by the magic-link token used to access the team.
Team and parlay data. Teams, rosters, parlays, picks (including custom picks you add by hand), and leaderboard results you create or take part in.
Photo proof uploads. If you upload a photo as proof of a bet slip or payout, we store that image.
Payment information. We don’t currently process payments. If paid plans launch in the future, billing will be handled by a third-party payment processor, and this policy will be updated to reflect what that processor collects.
Automatically collected data. Standard web request logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and a session cookie used to keep you signed in. We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and run your account and team
- To show you your teams, parlays, picks, and leaderboards
- To send account-related emails (magic links, password resets, confirmations, invites)
- To keep the site secure and diagnose problems
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your information to anyone.
How We Share Your Information
We share information with the following service providers, only as needed to run the site:
- Fly.io - hosts the application and database
- Resend - delivers transactional emails (magic links, password resets, invites)
- Fly Tigris (S3-compatible storage) - stores photo proof uploads
We do not share your information with sportsbooks, bookmakers, or any third party for betting purposes. Parlay Pals never places bets, holds money, or moves funds - see our Terms & Conditions for details.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Parlay Pals or its users.
Data Within Your Team
Your teammates can see the picks, roster status, and leaderboard information you generate inside a shared team. That visibility is the point of the app - it’s how a group parlay works - so don’t add anyone to a team you don’t want seeing that information.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or guest access remains active. If you’d like your data deleted, reach out to us (see “Contact Us” below) and we’ll remove what we can, except where retention is required for legal or security reasons.
Your Choices
You can update your profile information at any time from your account settings. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by reaching out to us directly.
Children’s Privacy
Parlay Pals is not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including hashing passwords and using encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as the updated policy is posted on this page, along with a new “Last updated” date.
